My Sisters’ Place General In-Kind Donation Policy

Thank you for your support of My Sisters’ Place.  In-Kind donations tremendously enhance our clients’ experience as they move through this transitional time in their lives. 

As of June 2009 our new donation policy is as follows:

We only accept:

1. packages of diapers in all sizes and baby wipes
2. large and extra-large duffel bags
3. towels in all sizes
4. new twin sheet sets
5. Spanish children’s books
6. new, unopened full-size toiletries (especially hair and skin care products for women of color)
7. gift cards (VISA, Target, etc)
8. teen boys clothes (small to XXX)
9. notebooks and all other school supplies
10. crayons and coloring books

These are items our clients need on an ongoing basis and your help in supplying them is greatly appreciated.  Unfortunately, due to administrative and storage constraints we are unable to accept other donations unless arrangements have been made with the Development Coordinator.

We do not have the ability to pick up donations. We request that donations are dropped off at either our White Plains or Yonkers offices. Please call the MSP donation line at 914-683-1333 x 301 to coordinate donation drop offs. 

If you are a community group with a project to benefit MSP and our clients please call Cheryl at 683-1333 x129.

For your donations of clothing and household items please call 211 (the Westchester/ Putnum United Way Helpline) from a non-cell phone. By calling 211 you are donating to the same organizations that help our clients. For Furniture donations please call the Furniture ShareHouse at 914-834-1294. Please let them know that My Sisters’ Place referred you.
